"Robert Helman is one of the major artists of the 20th century. Settled in Montparnasse in 1946, he participated to the pictorial adventure of the New School of Paris. His powerful and lyrical work impresses with its diversity and originality. His vigorous gestures, his brilliant palette and his personal themes build a unique and original cosmogony. It is rare to see a painter achieve such a profound agreement between the affirmation of a personal truth and the implementation of a plastic truth in osmosis with Nature.
